Laptop & Hotspot Loan Program

Spring 2026 New Requests

Students enrolled in current term, credit-bearing classes who have laptop and/or hotspot needs MUST:

  • Complete the .
  • After submitting the form, your request will be placed on a waitlist for review by the Saints Care Center. Wait for Saints Care Center Staff to follow up with an email to determine eligibility. Pre-approval is based on need and availability.
  • If pre-approved, you will receive an email with instructions from the Saints Care Center to:
    • Complete the Basic Needs Survey and confirm your pickup location.
  • Once approved and notified by Saints Care Center staff--after completing the Basic Needs survey--students can pick up their loaner technology from the Tyree Library on the Northwest Campus or from the SF Center they selected in the Loaner Technology Interest Form.
  • The library will ONLY check out laptops, hotspots, and/or webcams to students who have been approved and notified by Saints Care Center.
  • Loaner laptops and hotspots will be available for approved students starting on the first day of each semester (fall, spring, and summer). 

Important Eligibility Notes:

  • You must have a completed FAFSA on file--even if you do not need financial aid. This helps us gauge need.
    • When completing your FAFSA, be sure to list ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓÆµ as a school option.
  • International students: If you are not eligible to complete the FAFSA, you must complete the Federal Student Aid Estimator instead. This helps us assess financial need.

    • After completing the estimator, take screenshots of your results page and submit them as proof when requested by Saints Care Center staff.
  • If you qualify for financial aid, you may also purchase your own laptop from the SF Bookstore using your aid. 

Fall 2025 Semester Loans

  • All laptops, hotspots, and webcams not yet returned to the Tyree Library on the Northwest Campus are overdue.
  • A course registration hold is placed on the accounts of students how have overdue laptops, hotspots, or webcams until the items are returned to the Tyree Library.
  • Failure to return equipment will result in loss of technology equipment loan privileges.

ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓÆµ students enrolled in current-term, credit-bearing courses who 1) have completed the , 2) met with a Saints Care Center staff member, and 3) received approval for laptop hotspot loan, are eligible to borrow a SF Loaner Laptop and/or hotspot.

Laptops and hotspots will be available for check out to Students who have received approval from the Saints Care Center starting on the first day of fall, spring, and summer semesters. Check Library Hours for opening times.  

No, SF Loaner Laptops & Hotspots are borrowed one semester at a time and must be returned at the end of each semester.  Library staff must make updates to the equipment each semester to ensure functionality. 

Yes! During your meeting with the Saints Care Center staff, request device pickup at a center. Library staff will send the device to the Center through college courier. Expect 3-5 days for processing and delivery.  

For technical assistance with SF Loaner Laptops, please visit the Information Technology Services (ITS) Service Desk during college business hours on the Northwest Campus in K-036.   College business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. If unable to visit the Northwest Campus, please call the library to facilitate assistance. 

Students using SF Loaner Laptops must abide by the college Student Computer Use and Appropriate Use Policies which prohibit downloading and installing programs on any SF-owned equipment. See Student Use Policy
