Course Description
This 45-hour instructor-level course is designed to equip law enforcement agencies with the skills to address the growing threat of active shooters in densely populated settings such as schools, businesses, and day-care centers.
Participants will review some of the most publicized and recent active shooter incidents, highlighting the critical need for preparation in dynamic, rapidly evolving, worst-case scenarios. Emphasizing realistic training, the course includes extensive force-on-force drills, multiple field training exercises with role players, and the use of projectile training weapons to simulate real-world conditions.
This immersive training enhances participants' proficiency, enabling them to more effectively deliver proven strategies and protocols to their agencies. It is highly recommended for law enforcement professionals with an instructional background or for any officer who may be called to respond to these critical incidents. Dress Policy
Casual/business casual clothing is recommended. Flip flops, shorts, tank tops and/or offensive T-shirts are unacceptable attire. Law enforcement personnel not in uniform that are carrying exposed firearms must prominently display agency ID and/or badge at all times while on college property.

Cost
No cost to officers in Region IV. Priority is given to officers in Alachua and Bradford Counties. All other officers will be waitlisted and added to the roster as space permits.

- Forms must be submitted prior to 03/01/2026
